Winter Festivities at Pell Gardens Park

A stone's throw from the Inn at the Canal is a quaint waterfront park called Pell Gardens. When the weather is warm, the park's location with the canal as a backdrop provides the perfect venue for wedding ceremonies, live music concerts and other special events. But even when the temperatures dip and a cold breeze comes off the canal, Pell Gardens is home to fun wintertime festivities that celebrate the spirit of Chesapeake City. So bundle up and join in the entertainment this February and March.

Meander through Pell Gardens on Feb. 26, while enjoying samples of local wine, spirits, craft beer and goodies for the Sip & Stroll. Your ticket will include a commemorative wine glass and free beverage tastings from local purveyors including Blue Elk Vineyard, Broken Spoke Winery, Bayheads Brewing Company, and Inn at the Canal Rummur Lounge just to name a few. Fire pits throughout Pell Gardens will help keep you toasty. Or warm up in the neighboring Bohemia Avenue shops and enjoy live music for a truly unique shopping experience!

On March 19, everyone's Irish in Chesapeake City when the St. Patrick's Day Parade and Pub Crawl returns this year. Vendors will be set up in Pell Gardens from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The parade along Bohemia Ave starts at 11 a.m., followed by live music and a pub crawl. This long-standing event brings you floats, school bands, live Irish music (including the Mummer’s Duffy String Jam Band), and lots of Irish food and drinks. The Inn at the Canal is also hosting a band from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sláinte!
