Winestock Festival at Dove Valley

Wear your tie-dye shirt and bell-bottom jeans, put some flowers in your hair, and channel your inner hippie. It's time for the annual Winestock Festival at Dove Valley Vineyard and Winery on September 24, where you can chill out while sipping on award-winning wines and listening to some groovy music. This is the 10th year for Dove Valley's Winestock Festival. The 100-acre vineyard in Rising Sun, Maryland, provides a beautiful setting for this day of wine, beer, food and music. It's outta sight, man! Tickets are $10 in advance or $20 at the gate and include not only a taste of the 1960s, but a taste of premium wines and a keepsake glass.

Hang loose while you enjoy music from four live bands throughout the day – LODI, Bleech, Smokin' Guns and Old Skool – that will take you back in time with songs from one of the best decades in music.

This festival wouldn't be "far out" without some amazing food and drinks. Of course, you'll taste  samples of Dove Valley wines, from a crisp fruity Vignoles to a velvety Caberbet Franc to unique blueberry and peach Cotton Candy wines. In addition to wine, you can enjoy a Maryland brew in the beer garden from Bog Turtle Brewery and Maryland Beer Company. Food trucks will be cheffin' up some delicious eats to pair with your libations. After your glass is empty and your belly is full, check out the offerings from local artisans and vendors and pick up a few gifts or a souvenir to remind you of your Chesapeake Bay getaway.

Winestock at Dove Valley is an entertaining way to celebrate the grape harvest season and get a taste of some spectacular Maryland wines while surrounded by a fun, throwback vibe. Following the festival, continue on your journey of peace, love and relaxation at the Inn at the Canal, where you and your partner can sit on "The Dock of the Bay" and simply enjoy being "Happy Together."
