March is Maryland Wine Month
With more than 100 wineries and vineyards, Maryland is gaining a reputation for producing high-quality wines to please every palate. Maryland Wine Month showcases the innovation, diversity and quality found in wineries throughout the state. It's a great time to learn about, taste and explore Maryland wines, as local wineries will host unique events and feature new wine releases all month long.
Maryland has 10 distinctive wine trails, including the Chesapeake Wine Trail here on the Eastern Shore. While you're staying with us at the Inn at the Canal, we encourage you to visit some of the stops along the Chesapeake Wine Trail. Meet winemakers and see how your favorite wine goes from grape to glass. We recommend these five wineries that are within a short drive of our historic inn to celebrate Maryland Wine Month.
